HomeBlogDo you think hard work always pays off?
Image

Yes, from my experience, whatever you do or whenever you do, it always does!

The amount of effort one puts in determines the rewards. When you value the results of a task, my efforts are more significant, and so is my reward. For this reason, when you choose to do something, always find a reason to care about it so that it can be well.

Every day, I instill in people around me the importance of working hard. I show them real examples of great things that come out of going the extra mile. Use every opportunity to celebrate the rewards earned from hard work. My efforts to highlight the benefits of this positive virtue teach them that it is the right thing to do.

The quote by Thomas Edison that "Genius is 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration" is very apt. Hard work is the stepping stone to success, and by this, you would be able to overcome challenges.

You look at successful people in the world; they have achieved success through hard work. Malcolm Glad in his book "Outliers," mentions about the 10,000-hour rule, that states success depends upon enormous practice and effort.

Unfortunately, today's fast world, everyone wants quick results very fast without exerting much. People look for a short cut for everything, it may work occasionally, but they can't work every time. To have success in life and career, one needs to work hard. One needs to recognize payoffs that come in different forms. Not every situation results in quantifiable benefits.

There could be delays in getting the result, but once we plan and work hard, you are bound to succeed. We can't sit back, take it easy and procrastinate; we need to get on the ground and work for what we want to achieve.

Once feels particularly happy when hard work results in recognition from others and a feeling of pride. Believe that acceptance of success is of far greater worth than any financial reward.

Continue giving it all in every circumstance, and it will result in a matching reward at the end of the road that makes the sweat worthwhile.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1.     Do you always have the energy and drive to work harder?

2.     Do you share my experiences of being rewarded for hard work with my family?

3.     When you don't get rewards as expected for your hard work and effort, how do you react?
